Google Announcement
Google has just announced that the mobile signal it uses in it’s ranking algorithm has increased. Websites that are already mobile-friendly won’t be affected, but websites that don’t pass Googles Mobile-Friendly Test will not get priority and will appear below other similar websites that are mobile-friendly in their mobile listings.
Is Your Website Mobile-Friendly?
You can find out whether your website will be affected by using Googles Test. If your website fails this test we feel it is crucial that you look at updating the design as soon as possible, not only because it will drop in Googles listings, but also to give mobile users of your site the best experience on your website possible. If users have a pleasant experience using your website, they are more likely to return and purchase from you.
What Can I Do If My Website Isn’t Mobile-Friendly?
We can help you choose the best way to get your website mobile. It may be that we can design a brand new mobile version of your website that is displayed on mobile devices instead of your desktop site. Alternatively we could help to change the design of your existing site to work on mobile. A third option is to re-design the entire site to make it ‘fully-responsive’, which means it will adapt automatically to any screen size.
