The VTCT Foundation is an independent grant making charity foundation working to improve the lives of those living with a visible difference through funding a wide range of both basic science and clinical research and service provision. They came to Digital NOW as their current website was not fulfilling their needs, and asked us to design a brand new website.
Appearance Collective
A key objective of the website was to present their member directory of over 130 individuals from some 60 organisations called ‘The Appearance Collective’, this would also need to show key information and upcoming events across all platforms and devices.
WordPress Website Design
To enable us to give the customer the most flexibility and control over their website content, we decided to use the WordPress platform to build the website. This allows the VTCT Foundation to make changes to their website themselves, and because we apply all the latest updates and security patches as soon as they are released, they don’t need to worry about the security of their website.
Responsive Design
As websites can be viewed on thousands of different devices today, it is important for the design to be completely responsive and display beautifully on any screen size, whether it be a small smart phone or a 27″ 5K monitor. The VTCT Foundation website was built with this in mind, and tested on all the popular screen sizes to make sure users get the best user experience (UX) irrespective of the device they are using.
